So basically, someone gave my friend an iphone as a gift. the iphone was brand new in the box but with no plan or anything. My friend took her sim card out of her old phone and put it in the iphone and it works perfectly fine. So why is that? it just doesnt seem right. Also, i went to the two phone comapnies that sell iphones (in canada) and they dont sell the iphone unless you have a plan with it... is it because her phone was "unlocked"? and if so then what exactly does that mean? And if you're canadian, then where can i buy the phone from without a plan or anything (my friend doesnt know where the person bought it from, she thought he got it at rogers) its a 3g, and she has synced it with itunes and it works perfectly... read more
